Linked in Friendship. Connected in Service.

Our Commitment to Service

At the heart of our organization lies a deep-rooted dedication to community service. Our members actively engage in a diverse range of initiatives that make a lasting impact.

  • The annual Links Day on the Hill exemplifies our commitment to advocacy and policy change.

  • Our voting drive initiatives empower citizens to participate in the democratic process, ensuring voices are heard.

  • We're also proud of our partnership with Roosevelt Middle School, where we have offered a variety of programs, including a drumming class, physical exercise tutorials, yoga, and mindfulness classes to support students' mental health and well-being.

Behind the scenes, our facet and committee planning and execution teams work tirelessly to bring these programs to life, demonstrating the power of collective action. Through these efforts and more, we continually strive to uplift and strengthen our community.

Crucial Conversation

The Links sponsored this podcast episode with our member, Chanda Smith Baker, to interview Keesha Gaskins-Nathan for a timely discussion about the way women and women of color face denigrating attacks in elections such as this.

Ms. Gaskins-Nathan is the Director of the Democratic Practice–United States program and the Racial Justice Initiative at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Join Chanda Smith Baker and Keesha Gaskins-Nathan as they dive into the harsh realities of women in politics, particularly for women of color like Kamala Harris.

Get ready to challenge your assumptions and learn more about the attacks on Harris, the impact of the Supreme Court's decision on affirmative action, and the role of nonprofits in promoting voter participation.

On April 30, 2022, the Greater Twin Cities (MN) Chapter was one of the new chapters chartered by The Links, Incorporated. The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations.
